Intermediate Linocut Printing Workshop

Join artist Caroline Fay for a full day of linocut printmaking. This follow-on workshop is suitable for those who attended the beginners workshops or those with some experience in linocut printmaking. Learn additional carving techniques for creating texture and shading, how to strengthen designs and explore new techniques including color and multi-block printing.

Inspiration will come in the form of foraged items and references from nature. Students will leave with carved linocuts that can be used again and again, a small edition of prints and the essential tools and skills needed to continue creating beautiful prints at home. Print kits are available on the day. Materials list can be provided for those who have their own linocut materials.

Ages 16+. All skill levels.


$140, includes rubber block and paper.

Please bring your own cutter and roller. These will also be available for purchase for $30.

We'll provide additional needed tools for classroom use.


Caroline Fay is an Irish artist living and working in Walton, NY. She received a BA in Fine Art in Dublin, Ireland and studied painting at the the Art Students League of New York. She has won multiple awards including being the solo award winner of the 2019 Decentralization (DEC) Individual Artist Grant from New York State Council on the Arts. Her work is represented in public and private collections in Europe and in the US.

Caroline is owner of Big Little Art Studio (BLAS) a personal art studio and community space in Walton where she hosts various workshops and courses. For more info: @carolinefayart @blas.walton
